Which Laptop Should You Buy?

There are three laptops:

  1. Acer Asphire
  2. Dell Vostro 1500
  3. Dell Inspiron 1525

You just use it for PowerPoint, word processing, and all day online. Which should you buy?

If these are the only choices I would have to say Acer. Acer has better support while Dell can sometimes give you the run around and take forever to provide any type of technical support.

Acer tends to last a lot longer also. If you did proper maintenance and bought an extra battery it could last you about four years with minimal problems.

Lately a lot of the newer Dell laptops have had a lot of problems with display as far as the screen and back light are concerned. The battery does tend to burn out quit often. Well at least i have noticed.

If you were looking for something a little mor durable thought I would go with an HP. They are a bit showy but I prefer HP over the two you are looking at.

    Greetings,

I totally agree with the HP recommendation, with Acer as a second. As pointed out, lots of bad stories about Dell lately.

Lenovo is probably twice as bad as Dell in my opinion. I have had nothing but problems with faulty display units and display driver boards. Six to Eight week lead time on parts seems to be acceptabel to Lenovo and their service is horrible.

I’ve been impressed with the newer HP’s. They are pretty rock solid.

    Regards,

    Keith
